The Australia Tourism Industry Council achieved nationwide coordination by adopting the ERC Protocol from Carbonhalo, creating the Tourism Emission Reduction Commitment (TERC). TERC requires businesses to reach Stage 3 of the Carbonhalo Program, covering measuring, reducing and transitioning emissions, with transparent public reporting. Over 90 reporting groups now participate, enabling rapid, cost-effective, industry-wide emissions tracking regardless of business size.

Wine Tasmania solved its industry-wide emissions dilemma by adopting the ERC Protocol, deployed with Carbonhalo in a matter of hours rather than years. The program suits micro, small, medium and large wine operators, offering standardised emission reduction plans, verified reporting compliance and live data tracking, with the Tasmanian Government funding the base program free for members for two years.
